Armed Forces, MoH and Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Academy for Ladies Sports sign MoUs

The Armed Forces General Headquarters, the Ministry of Health and the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Academy for Ladies, yesterday signed the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) regarding medical checkup for those recruited in national services and women sports.
The MoUs, which were signed at the National and Reserve Service office, are aimed at supporting the strategic law of the national and reserve service and opening more horizons of cooperation with all vital institutions, whether public or private. The MoH will provide medical reports on the recruits to the National Service and Reserve Authority.
Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health, Staff Major General Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service Authority, Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health, and Raisa Humaid Al Ketbi, Director of Operations and Acting Executive Officer of the Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Academy for Ladies Sports signed the MoUs.
Commenting on the occasion, the Minister of Health said the signing of such MoUs with the Armed Forces "is an opportunity for the health sector in the UAE to contribute along with other sectors, and thus support this national strategic project. It is a great honour to be a strategic partner of the Armed Forces in the service of the country." He thanked President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Staff Major General, Pilot Sheikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun, for giving an opportunity to the MoH to be part of the national project.
On his part, Sheikh Ahmed thanked H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, for her unwavering support to women sports and achievements.
Raisa Al Ketbi said the signing of MoU with the Armed Forces follows the directives of Sheikha Fatima and patronage of Sheikha Fatima bint Hazza Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Sheikha Fatima Academy for Ladies Sports.
Referring to the MoU signed between the Academy and the Armed Forces, she noted that the Academy would provide scholarships to women who join the national service and interested in sports.
